Week In Review: In a week of reversals, Nokia re-enters handsets while Microsoft backs away

This was a week of strange reversals. Nokia re-entered the handset market, at least indirectly, while Microsoft offloaded the featurephone business it acquired from Nokia, even though that represented the bulk of its handset sales. The buyer is Foxconn, which will also make devices, under the Nokia name, for HMD, a Finnish company set up specifically to resurrect the famous brand and market a range of handsets and tablets running Android.
